Job Description: Sales Manager
Job Purpose: Gain customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales contract potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those to plans to the senior management.
Specific Duties:
* Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing his/her territory and market
* Assist the Area GM and Divisional MD to design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the Environmental customer base and ensure it's strong presence, including:
o Value proposition
o Service offering
o Target growth segments
o Customer performance
o Price increase strategy

* Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
* Present sales, revenue, pipeline, retention, customer performance and other reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
* Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status, including competitor waste outlets
* Benchmark sales rates against competitor rates
* Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers, by being the first point of contact for many of the customer base.
* Owning some key accounts as directed by the Area GM
* Be an excellent team player, manage and motivate staff and communicate clear expectations ensuring capability and understanding of company requirements
* Communicate and implement standards and work practices to ensure application of company policy and procedures and relevant legislation.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
* BS/MS degree in business administration or a waste/environmental related field
* Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
* Committed to continuous professional education through workshops, seminars and conferences
* Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
* Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
* Strong business sense and industry expertise
* Good interpersonal skills, numerate and ability to deal with people of different skills and abilities
* Be an excellent team player, with the ability to work under pressure in a demanding commercial environment
