Q: What process do our candidates go through at registration?
A: Our candidates are pre-screened prior to inviting them in for interview so we already know we are likely to be able to help them.
Upon arrival, candidates are given an application form to complete as well as reference and bank details pro-forma for temporary staff. Before meeting a consultant, candidates are tested on their spelling, grammar and numeracy skills. We use an IT skills testing system called Prove-it and this will test as a matter of course, typing, word, excel and PowerPoint skills. Tests can be customised according to a client’s specific requirements. Candidates will then meet a consultant who will thoroughly interview them to ascertain their specific requirements.
Q: How are candidates screened before they begin working in a booking?
A: All our candidates are screened thoroughly before they commence a booking. They have a competency based interview and are assessed on MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint, as well as copy typing, spelling and grammar, before being put forward to a client. Temps are also referenced for the last two years before they can work. Candidates must also provide legal proof of their identity and right to work in the UK.
Q: What is the quality of the candidates available at moment?
A: The quality and calibre of candidates vary across different levels but as it is a candidate driven market at the moment, the selection process needs to be very selective. The initial screening process is critical, to eliminate candidates who would not suitable.
Q: How do you test your candidates?
A: We use an on line testing system called Proveit and we can select any MS Office application, typing, numerical and spelling tests.

Q:How do I place a permanent vacancy?
A: In the first instance you need to contact us and speak to one of our experienced consultants. They will then talk you through our procedures. Following this, we will visit your offices and take a detailed job description.
Q: Why do ROC consultants visit their new clients?
A: We visit all our new clients to find out more about your company. A short time at your office gives us an indication of the working atmosphere of the company and will help us match a suitable candidate for you.

Q: How quickly can you fill my vacancy?
A: This very much depends on the client’s requirements. Upon receipt of a vacancy, qualified cvs can be with you in a matter of a hours and interviews can be arranged for the following day! We have a large database of available candidates covering all office disciplines therefore can shortlist the most appropriate individuals for your particular needs and ensure a swift and successful resolution to your recruitment challenge.
