New research from the UK’s leading independent job site, CV-Library, reveals just how important workplace perks are to UK workers, with nearly two thirds (62.1%) of professionals stating that they consider these to be a key factor when looking for a job. Furthermore, just over one in 10 (12.6%) said that they would turn down a job if the company didn’t offer workplace perks. Worryingly, the survey of 1,000 professionals also revealed that nearly three quarters of UK professionals (71.8%) aren’t currently receiving any perks at work. The UK could shake off the near-term impact of Brexit to become the fastest-growing economy in the G7 group of rich countries between now and 2050, according to a report that paints a bright outlook for the country’s prospects outside the EU. Consultants PwC say the UK economy will not escape entirely unscathed from the decision to leave the bloc and that it will dampen growth prospects in the short term. This Payroll Manager opportunity has full responsibility for the payroll of 1,000 full-time and part-time employees within this global beauty retail brand.
This position as Payroll Manager is a key, senior role within the HR Department and is the only Payroll position, so it is crucial that you are happy with that level of responsibility as well as possessing in-depth payroll experience and strong knowledge of ADP. It would suit a strong Payroll professional from a multi-site, retail environment.
Working closely with Store Managers, you will manage the monthly payroll for retail staff as well as administering the annual salary review and bonus schemes and training retail managers and HR colleagues on certain payroll issues.
