Our client specialises in the very best of authentic British menswear, noted for its classic styling, superb materials and impeccable tailoring.
Overview of Role
To support the store manager in achieving store sales, service and operational budgets. Encourage strong communication throughout the team, for the store to deliver a high level of customer service and clientele management. Act as an ambassador of the brand in line with business goals supporting the overall growth and profitability of the store.
Main Responsibilities
Sales
*Use all available tools to analyse stock holding and agree corrective action with store manager to increase store profitability.
*Support the store to achieve company budgets through the team's achievement of KPI targets as well as your own.
*Protect the company's profit by selling stock at the best margin and retaining low damages.
Service
*Accountable for staff delivery of customer service, providing coaching and feedback to ensure service is in line with company standard.
*Lead by example; install a culture of exceptional customer service, encouraging the team to stretch service boundaries in order to know their customers and develop clients.
*Support the manager in developing internal talent in line with their succession planning.
*Determine the needs of the customer and reward and delight appropriately to encourage loyalty.
*Demonstrate to your team a high level of personal presentation in line with company dress code, as well as good personal hygiene and grooming standards.
Communication
*Ensure the team are talking to each other and customers with courtesy and respect. Provide coaching and directive to manage this.
*Handle any complaints with haste and a positive, proactive approach.
*Cascade company and store announcements in an engaging and relative manor. Ensuring store manager is kept informed of any issues and aware of proceedings in their absence from the store.
*Adhere to company review processes and support the store manager in the development of store talent.
*Build positive working relationships with external departments in order to support the development of the store.
Requirements
*Ideally already working in an assistant manager role or similar, preferably in the luxury/premium industry.
*Have an understanding of commerciality and KPI measurements.
*Ability to be flexible in working schedules.
*Confident in people management techniques and training styles.
*An understanding of retail business and competitors within the market.
*Ability to plan and organise multiple tasks, taking into consideration long term and immediate jobs.
*Proficient in English and numeracy.
