ACCOUNTING ROLE


Our Client has a portfolio of extraordinary clients in the luxury travel sector. The global campaigns that have been executed by the UK and US based teams have helped clients to achieve their commercial objectives and create and develop reputations.

Our Client is seeking an accountant/bookkeeper who can help with the day to day running of the financial aspects of the business.


JOB DESCRIPTION

The business has grown to 60 clients with 40 staff in London and New York with representatives in Spain and Italy. As the company continues to grow, there is a need to have a more regular accounting presence from an individual who has excellent attention to detail and can provide advice and support over and above the bookkeeping function. There is the opportunity to grow with the business as it develops. The role on a day to day basis reports in to the Chief Operating Officer. With regular interaction with the owner and founder, and monthly calls joined by the finance advisors. The role is part time 5 mornings or afternoons a week.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Monthly fee invoicing clients. Typically this is a regular fee and the same monthly amount. This invoicing is across the global portfolio and therefore involves dollar, euro and sterling billing
*Monthly expenses invoicing.
*On-going management of credit control
*Review of all invoices and timely recommendation to pay
*Maintenance of the finance tracker
*Overseeing the bank accounts
*Creating the monthly management accounts
*Payroll payments
*Ensuring prompt payment of all required taxation - including liaising with the US accounts on annual reports
*Creation of the budget forecasts
*Monthly finance tracker update - dashboard review of the income/outgoings/forthcoming large-scale payments
*Maintenance of the fee:staff salary ratio charts
*Advice, suggestions and recommendations on accounting topics within the business to improve efficiency and profitability

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

-Accounting Qualifications AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
-Minimum 5 years experience within a small owner managed business
-Proven track record with working with Xero
-Previous payroll management experience
-Good communication skills
-Strong attention to detail
-- Able to work with minimum supervison
