*Head up the logistics team for all deliveries and collections - maximising driver productivity, route optimization whilst ensuring timed and successful output.
*Ensure all legislation in line with Road Traffic Act 2010 and lead fleet team to ensure policies and processes are adhered to.
*Manage, coach, and develop logistics team associates utilsing available training programs, informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance-based feedback.
*Generate and communicate metrics reporting. May also require development of metrics to gauge department performance.
*Lead all work that occurs between the warehouse and dispatch of vans. This will include knowledge of group loading and ensuring that all drivers are adhering to loads time, weight loads and are safe to head off.
*Ensure all driver activity is performed in accordance with applicable Health & Safety and Food Safety Legislation.
*Ensure regular weekly maintenance checks and upkeep of all vehicles to include weekly report.
*Assist with inductions of all new drivers.
*Be fully trained and able to do all routes inclusive of daily ad-hoc requirements.
*Become fully proficient in the use of the FlowFinity system, helping ensure the timely input of data.
*Improve the operational performance of the fleet, whilst minimizing the operative downtime.
*Lead the procurement of vehicles on an agreed basis to achieve the best operational working including disposal.



General Requirements:
*Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistic/fleet role with extensive knowledge of London road system.
*Experience of providing strategic and operational leadership of a commercial fleet.
*Experience of minimizing impact on business whilst conducting cyclical and incidental fleet repairs.
*Extensive knowledge of London road systems
*A strong working knowledge of UK fleet and transport legislation.
*Experience in people management and heading up a team.
*Strong IT skills and experience of using bespoke IT systems.
*Valid & clean UK Driving License
*Team Player. Can work in group or alone as the task requires; oriented towards the good of the whole. Has the ability to build rapport and good working relationships with co-workers.
*Ability to effectively deal with change in the workplace, and work in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
*This role will require some flexibility of hours
