*To provide day to day supervision of the nominated sites. Act in the role of relief CoTC holder for nominated sites including regular site visits and, as and when required, provide CoTC cover for other Enovert operations.

*To ensure that the nominated sites comply with their Environmental Permit, Planning Permission and any other relevant legislation as well as the following standards ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS45001. To ensure all operations are in accordance with contract requirements.

*To assist with the rostering of nominated sites to ensure adequate provision of personnel, plant and equipment suitable for the inputs and compliant undertaking of all site activities.

*To schedule daily site tasks including the deployment of resources required to manage all site operational activities.

*Supervision of Site Operatives and weighbridge staff, contractors, visitor and suppliers and if necessary, provide cover during periods of sickness/holiday.

*Ensure all leachate, gas and other infrastructure is inspected and maintained daily and records kept. Plan and supervise the lifting of leachate wells and impact on gas infrastructures

*Manage daily site tipping operations ensuring safe efficient receipt and handling of waste.

*Supervise all Health & Safety aspects of the nominated sites including management of personnel, contractors, visitors, customers and suppliers. Liaise with Compliance on matters of compliance with maintenance and development of safe working practices and any accidents, incidents or audit requirements.

*Maintain high standards of operational and environmental compliance and to liaise with regulatory bodies in respect of site inspections, engineering works including cell preparations, capping, leachate and gas infrastructure

*To provide 1st class customer service ensuring safe and productive disposal operations and fostering of professional working relationships with our customers and their representatives

*To supervise any site earthworks or construction projects and any disputes or queries as may arise

*Ensure all Risk Assessments, Method Statements and systems of work are maintained at the nominated sites

*Ensure staff training is undertaken and records maintained

*Ensure all routine daily plant maintenance is undertaken and records maintained and to include all PUWER and LOLER items.

*Ensure compliance with Waste Acceptance Procedures, the Environmental Permit and the Waste Duty of Care Regulations. Ensure staff perform all relevant waste inspection, waste sampling and non-conformance reporting.

*To act as deputy and responsible person in the absence of the site manager and to be familiar with the requirements of the site managers role and responsibilities.

*Work as part of a 7 days week/364 days a year duty rota to ensure that a suitably competent person is always available to deal with customers and plant.

*Liaise with managers in setting annual budgets etc. Actively promote the commercial side of the site to secure additional revenues.

*Assist in the education of operatives with regards to contract requirements, health and safety, quality systems, customer care and environmental protection.

*Attend formal contract review meetings where required.
