We are looking for the successful candidate to fully embrace and deliver the following;

Support the Group Finance Director in identifying opportunities to generate cost savings and efficiencies across the Group
Materials procurement for the demolition and civil engineering division liaising closely with project quantity surveyors
Management of the contracting stores including developing systems for stock control and contract costings
Leading on supply contact negotiations and the management of various group contracts (e.g. Telecoms, Utilities, IT hardware, Service Contracts)
Supporting all divisions and support service functions with specialist and general procurement activities
Establishing a new requisition system to enable the efficient running of this new procurement function
Be the 'Champion' for the purchase order system ensuring all users are following company procurement and goods receiving processes
We are looking for the preferred candidate to have the following qualifications and experience:

Significant depth of experience in procurement
CIPS qualified, studying towards or equivalent studies - desirable
Experience of the construction or recycling industries - desirable
A great negotiator and collaborator
Builds effective & productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
Provides a clear focus on managing costs, assessing performance against goals and identifies areas for improvement.
Good listening skills and ability to focus on issues critical to senior leaders.
Sets and defines clear priorities and organises to meet internal and external demands
Can deliver communication concisely and steer conversation towards decisions needed
Builds confidence and knows when it is appropriate to push suppliers to resolve difficult issues and disputes
Computer literacy on full Microsoft suite with an ability to quickly learn new systems
Attention to detail is a pre-requisite
