As Commercial/Brokering Manager, we want you to use your strategic vision and passion for problem solving to help maximise retention, revenue and profitability of the healthcare customer-base through forging long-term relationships with key suppliers and partners across the waste sector, as well as working to fill our capacity gaps with third-party, delivered-in waste.

We're passionate about helping our customers and want to be seen as more than just another service provider. We strive to deliver a great customer experience and create the best possible solutions to the problems our customers face when considering how to manage their waste, reduce their environmental impact and improve their green credentials. It's this passion that's seen our business go from strength-to-strength over the last five years - through tough market conditions - and we're now looking to strengthen and re-focus our team for the exciting journey ahead.

We need someone with a strong focus on health and safety, a track record of supplier relationship management and development, with experience of waste brokering for this key role.

Responsibilities and Expectations

You will work with our Commercial and Operations teams to understand where opportunity sits within our existing customer-base and develop the required solutions through the sourcing of key third-party partners.

You'll manage the end-to-end process of finding the right suppliers, manage the relationships we have with other key players in the market and gain a solid understanding of each plants' throughput capability and inbound waste volumes to enable the proactive minimisation of no-waste hours, keeping good visibility of market rates to maximise tonnage rates wherever possible.

Your success will rely on an approach to creating opportunity that is unhindered by what we do now, and ability to focus on what value we could be adding if we looked at things differently

You'll develop a strong understanding of our own business strategy so that you can better communicate the value we can deliver, but you'll also be our eyes and ears on the ground providing supplier and market feedback that will be key to developing our products and services of the future.

You won't manage Healthcare customers, but will gain an all-round understanding of their wants and needs, which you'll use to develop our service offer of the future and build relationships with the right partners in order to deliver it.

With an analytical approach you'll be comfortable working in a targeted environment and being able to analyse and draw conclusions from raw data in order to build robust responses where key measures - revenue, EBIT - fall short of expectations.
