Leading London luxury organisation is expanding their shipping department to deal with all legislation changes post brexit.
Exciting and fast paced role, candidates must have a strong knowledge of logistics, including current national and international packing methods, transportation methods and customs and compliance.
Arrange all inbound shipping and associated logistics requirements in a timely and cost effective manner
Respond to and resolve to successful conclusion enquiries and issues regarding inbound shipments
Monitor and execute quote requests in a timely manner
Monitor Shipping Imports emails daily
Obtain quotes from shipping partners and other related service providers for inbound shipments and selecting the winning service providers
Assess and verify the requirements of a proposed shipment, including packing, and entering or validating this information in the system
Allocate tariff and procedure codes to all internationally imported works
Ensure that the correct import method is used for international imports
Make CITES licence applications, as appropriate
Ensure that clients who may have a retrospective entry requirement understand the ramifications of this and that the entry is dealt with in a timely manner
Liaise with HM Revenue and Customs and Customs brokers on matters of import, sending clearance instructions to brokers
Key qualifications:
University graduate with at least 2-3 years of related experience
Strong knowledge of logistics, including current national and international packing methods, transportation methods, customs and regulatory compliance
Action oriented with skills and aptitude to excel in a fast paced client-focused and deadline-driven environment
Excellent client service skills; ability to remain calm in pressure situations
Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge
Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with all organizational levels
