Our client is a modern, luxury detox and Rehabilitation facility. They are looking for Mental Health Counselor to join their team.

A successful candidate will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications needed to perform duties effectively.
Duties and responsibilities:
*Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
*Implementing treatment plans and administering medication or therapeutic care to their patients
*Observing patients for behavioural changes
*Supervising and monitoring patients within the facility to ensure their safety
*Performing comprehensive risk assessment on patients
*Educating patients families about the patient's mental health issues and educating them on how they can aid their treatment
*Documenting and maintain patient health records
*Recommending patients that need more personalised treatment to Registered Nurse

Required Skills:
*Empathy and interpersonal and relationship building skills
*Excellent psychological skills to understand the mental state of patients
*Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in stressful situations
*Ability to support patients with alcohol and drug addictions
*Ability to remain balanced and non-judgmental while listening to patients
*Excellent observation skills to identify behavioural changes in patients
*Proficiency in de-escalation techniques for effective crisis and emergency management
*Ability to use a computer, including proficiency in the use of word processing and data entry tools

Required Qualifications:
*BACP Qualified
*Nursing/Clinical Experience Required
*Medication Management
*Acupuncture Trained (not Essential)
*Willingness to learn and follow Clinic's standards of practice
