MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN WASTE / ENVIRONMENTAL SALES !

* Understanding both external and internal customer needs and responding to them quickly, positively, and efficiently. Serve as the link between new customers and prospects and internal teams.
* Ensure legislative and procedural compliance in all Sales related matters.
* Develop trusting relationships with clients to ensure they do not turn to one of our competitors.
* Acquire an understanding of customers and prospects needs and requirements and ensure they are met.
* To assist other departments in the management of the customer's entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
* Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints where necessary to maintain trust.
* Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner, and raise any concerns with the Sales Director.
* Following up on client leads in a timely and professional manner, whilst being knowledgeable about all of the products and services offered by the business.
* Selling the products and services of the business both in person and over the phone.
* Raising the Company profile by attending exhibitions when possible.
* Being aware of market trends and competitor activity and reporting any changes to the Sales Director.
* To be aware of costs relating to the Sales function of the business and to ensure our margins are of an acceptable level as agreed by the Sales Director.
* Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients in an effort to grow the business.

Education and Qualifications
No specific qualifications necessary


Relevant Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in sales within the waste / environmental sector and providing solutions based on customer needs and wants.

Special Attributes/Individual Performance Characteristics
Superior verbal and written communication and effective interpersonal skills (working at all levels)
A high level of numeracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commercial awareness
Good IT skills - particularly Microsoft office (Exel,Word,Powerpoint)
An ability to negotiate assertively whilst maintaining good business relationships
Ability in problem solving and negotiation
Planning and organisational skills necessary to handle multiple tasks and complete them within deadlines
Charismatic individual with a "can-do" attitude

General Intelligence
Good general level of intelligence including numeracy, literacy, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Physical Requirements
Need to be able to travel & stay overnight where necessary.
