The New Business Manager (NBM) is responsible to secure new clients to grow profitable
business in line with targets.
This will be achieved by identifying and maximising opportunities with new clients to drive
sales and margin growth across the company's business activities, increasing overall
profitability.
The NBM is committed to demonstrate Customer service excellence in every business
pitch, presentation and/or tender to maximise conversions from prospect to client.
Be a team player helping and contributing to company culture and team performance.
Goals & Outcomes:
Reporting to the BDD, the post holder will be responsible for personal targets and goals,
contributing to company performance.
There are 3 main goals
1. Secure new clients
2. Achieve sales and profit targets
3. Promote our brand and its values in the minds of our clients

Responsibilities:
* Build a strong pipeline of prospects, initiate and develop business relationships to
achieve targets.
* To create and develop commercial opportunities, in order to achieve increased gross
income for the company.
* Promote our brand by always proactively delivering the company vision, mission,
guiding principles and non-negotiables standards.
* Be proactive in all relationships anticipating customer needs and promoting services
to benefit our clients.
* Take the lead to construct robust and competitive new proposals demonstrating the
Elite service excellence that convert prospects to new clients on long term
relationships.
* Systematically and consistently appraise your line manager on market opportunities,
conditions and associated business developments.
* Identify profit growth through strategic partnerships.
* Implement the marketing strategy that incorporates national direction and local
priorities enabling the company to grow its reputation and revenue streams.
* Develop strong working relationships with all customers, suppliers and other
associates to be the first choice for our services.
* The BDD will agree personal objectives with the NBM. This will form part of the annual
review and quarterly appraisals of his/her performance in the role.
* Contribute to Corporate strategy through feedback and team meetings.
* To manage budgets as required
* Ensure all systems and administration is maintained accurately and up to date within
agreed timescales.
Key activities: (See annual target review for specifics)
* 90% of time Prospecting
* Achieve as a minimum your target of 50 cold contacts per week
* Cold call prospects when on travels
* At least 4 site surveys per month
* % of prospects converted to new clients
* Accurate and up to date pipeline list of prospects and status
* Communicating with colleagues and admin
Skills and competencies:

* Use the sales process to help clients make great decisions
* Present yourself professionally at all times.
* Sociable, energetic and demonstrative in all aspects of your role
* Understandable and clear written and verbal communication skills
* The prospecting, review and sales process is part of the value of working with .
* Professional telephone manner.
* Well organised and able to efficiently prioritise tasks.
* Proactive and self-motivated to learn.
* Competent with MS Office, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
KPI's:
* Number of prospects contacted (calls and referrals)
* Number of 1st appointments as a % of prospects
* Number of proposals presented as a % of 1st visits
* Conversion % of proposals to contracts / orders
* Agreed target value of new business
Health & Safety:

* Confidentiality/data protection regarding all personal information and company

Standards and Performance Review:
* Maintain consistent high standards and act in accordance with the ethics of the
company. Employees are expected to participate in the performance review
process.
Limits of Authority:
* The BDM cannot commit the company to any expense over the approved limit
without prior approval from the line manager.
